St Patrick's Primary School

Welcome to our school website. We hope you enjoy navigating your way around this site and please leave your comments in our guestbook.

St Patrick's Primary School was established in the Parish of Saul & Ballee in the early part of the last century. Our new school was officially opened on the 28th November 2008, by Bishop Noel Treanor.

The new school is built beside St Patrick’s Church in Saul, in the shadow of St Patrick’s monument, which overlooks the area of Lecale. Mr Eddie McGrady, our local MP laid the foundation stone in June of 2007 along with Mr Dermot Vint (RIP), our late Chair of Governors. T&A Kernoghan were appointed the main contractor and along with Isherwood & Ellis Architects and the many sub-contractors they have provided the community of St Patrick’s Primary with a school building to be proud of and which reflects the vibrancy of the children and dedication of parents and staff of our school.

With six modern, well-equipped classrooms, offices, multi-purpose hall and servery, we are well placed to meet the demands of the many changes facing schools at the moment. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard and the school is fully networked. Two resource areas are used for group work and are an excellent addition to the spacious classrooms. The multi-purpose hall is fitted out with its own stage lighting and PA system and is used for PE, assemblies and at lunchtime.
